WashingtonPost – Second-graders at Elmwood Franklin Elementary School in Buffalo, N.Y., used their grammar lessons to correct tweets from NFL players. The school’s Facebook page says that kids “partnered in groups and together found several mistakes in these tweets, including the incorrect spelling of ‘a lot.’ ”
God these kids are stupid. Correcting grammar on tweets? It’s called auto-correct…ever heard of it? I thought all kids these days come out of the womb with a cell phone. Seriously. And I’m not talking like the phone with three buttons to call home, the police, and the ice cream man. I’m talking like Iphone5s and Samsungs and shit. I mean I get that correcting grammar from a book is boring, but using athletes that probably had teachers and professors do their homework and skip tests since the time they hit the 10th grade probably isn’t the best way to learn either. At least you can say they’re correcting grammar and learning life lessons at the same time: “I pray to God I’m never dieing broke” Thanks Chris Culliver, I’m gonna start praying for that too! Check out the contract I signed in 2011: four-year, $2.635 million contract. The deal included a $595,000 signing bonus. Ohhhhhhh whoops that’s your contract. Silly me.
